Words In Motion is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our supportive multidisciplinary practice on a part-time basis.

We’re Hiring
Part-Time Speech & Language Therapist
📍 Primrose Hill, North London
Part-Time | In-Person
1 full day or 2 afternoons per week, plus availability for at least one weekend day
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of children and young people aged 2–18, providing comprehensive assessment and individualised intervention.
Conducting comprehensive speech, language, communication and literacy assessments using up-to-date, evidence-based assessment tools
Planning and delivering individualised therapy programmes tailored to each child's needs
Writing detailed assessment reports, therapy recommendations and progress updates
Working collaboratively with parents, families, schools, nurseries and other professionals
Contributing to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments and reports where appropriate
Participating in multidisciplinary discussions and working alongside Specialist Teachers and Occupational Therapists
Delivering primarily in-person, clinic-based intervention, with school-based sessions where required
Maintaining appropriate clinical records and managing your caseload effectively
Who You'll Support
Supporting children and young people aged 2–18 with a range of needs, including DLD, speech sound disorders, autism, social communication difficulties, dyslexia, developmental delays, selective mutism, and other communication needs.
About You
✓ Qualified Speech and Language Therapist
✓ Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
✓ Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
✓ Experience working with children and young people
✓ Experience with literacy, dyslexia and/or language-based learning difficulties
✓ Experience assessing and supporting a range of speech, language and communication needs
✓ Confident conducting assessments and delivering evidence-based intervention independently
✓ Confident managing an independent caseload
✓ Strong clinical reasoning, organisational and time-management skills
✓ Excellent written communication and professional report-writing skills
✓ Comfortable working collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals
✓ Values multidisciplinary working, reflective practice and ongoing professional development
✓ Able to work in person at our Primrose Hill practice
✓ Available for at least one weekend day
Particularly welcomed: Experience supporting autistic children and those with DLD, speech sound disorders, social communication differences, literacy/dyslexia or other language-based learning needs.
